CCSA recently made a submission in response to the Department of Education’s Regional and Remote Strategy Consultation. To contribute effectively to the consultation with relevant and reliable information, CCSA formed two working parties to add to the sector experience already held by the organisation. Members of the working parties were experienced early childhood and community leaders, who engage strongly in networks in their regions. We thank everyone who participated for their contribution.CCSA supports the department’s aim to ensure that children in regional and remote areas have access to sustainable, high quality early childhood education and start school with the skills they need to engage in learning. Our submission recommends that any regional and remote early childhood education and care strategy must acknowledge the need for a set of diverse delivery types and enable flexibility to fit the differing contexts that exist in regional and remote locations. You can read the submission here.
